Bakiga people from Kigezi region are comprised of many clans and each clan has different totems. The tourists have opportunity to witness the Kikiga cultural, participate in the day to day activities of families like grinding grains on local stones, fetching water and firewood and harvesting available foods during the visiting period. You have the exclusive opportunity to buy local crafts directly from the local.
What is included in the tour?
The Homestead visit is in the community usually after a nap and or evening tea or coffee. The guide (included) provides the guests a walking stick and a bottle of water. The homestead visit is also the opportunity for guests to buy crafts directly from locals from their homes.
